Town driving

Driving in town can be daunting: rush hour traffic, complicated junctions and traffic systems.  Enhance your skills to deal with all these and more.  We will explore how you are likely to react ins such situations when driving alone, with friends or on a specific journey such as your daily trip to work

All-weather driving
Rain, fog, bright sunshine, snow and ice: We will explore how to drive safely in all the different weather conditions you'll face on the road.  Depending on the prevailing weather conditions, it may only be possible to coverthe theory side of this module.

Driving Out of Town

Country roads can harbour all kinds of hazards, from sharp bends and potholes to farm vehicles and animals in the road.  These roads are one of the major areas for crashes involving novice drivers.  We will explore the risks attached to negotiating these roads and how you can prepare yourself for these types of journeys.

Night driving
It is possible you have driven in the dark before. Dealing with dazzle, judging distance and speed, using yourlights correctly - these are just some of the areas covered.  Depending on the time of year it may only be possible to cover the theory side of this module.

Driving on dual carriageways
